I will show you both ways:. From the list of administrative tools, double click on System Configuration. These PC's would also need their network printer settings to carry over into the remote session.
Will it always be the same remote destination? Save the RDP config with or without credentials, up to you to a file, and set a scheduled task to execute the RDP file on startup, or put it in the startup folder.
Set the config to full screen so they don't see the local screen. Another option would be to use remoteapps. Remoteapps loads the entire rdp session in the background but only displays the application itself. It makes for a nice working environment. I would recommend a thin client. A thin client can be configured to connect to an RDP session automatically on boot. There are opensource utilities to turn a PC into a linux-based thin client.
You could always use group policy to automatically run RDP on login. Otherwise, PXE boot thin client would be your best option.
